This summer United Photo Industries is taking the next step in helping to create an extraordinary global community of artists.
Working in partnership with local galleries, national institutions, and an international network of curatorial partners, we are building PHOTOVILLE – a unique, large-scale, photographic village built from Shipping Containers in the heart of Brooklyn Bridge Park, at the Pier 3 Uplands. And to top it all off, we have joined forces with Photo District News and Brooklyn Bridge Park to curate and produce “The Fence” — a 1000ft–long public photographic installation cutting a vibrant swath along the Brooklyn waterfront, with an expected audience of more than 300,000 visitors during the summer of 2012.
