3d Animated Graffiti by Graffiti Technica

OK, so maybe a little over the top, but I’m loving these animated graffiti sketches from the Australian Graffiti Technica. There’s just the perfect mix of shaky camera work, lighting, and top-notch sound design to make these little 3d experiments pretty exceptional, and hey, if all graffiti trended toward enormous hover robots we’d probably spend a lot less taxpayer money on spray paint removal. Metropolis II: What to do with 1,200 Hot Wheels

Metropolis II is a kinetic art installation by Chris Burden featuring 1,200 Hot Wheels. It includes 1,200 custom-designed cars and 18 lanes; 13 toy trains and tracks; and, dotting the landscape, buildings made of wood block, tiles, Legos and Lincoln Logs. Burden estimates that every hour about 100,000 cars circulate the system. Soon to be on display at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, or as my friend Gregg will refer to it, “Mecca”. A Town Called Panic

For the past few months Futureshorts has been releasing episodes of the 2000 French animated series Panique Au Village, distributed by Aardman Animations of Wallace & Gromit fame. Each episode follows Indian, Cowboy and Horse as they find themselves in assorted predicaments that generally make no sense whatsoever. We accept full responsibility if we’ve just exposed you to the stupidest thing you’ve ever seen in your life.
