Micro Type is another lusciously liquid typeface by Rus Khasanov (previously) who pours wet ink on wet paper and uses a digital camera to capture the results. From the looks of the final project I think he used some sort of macro lens for this. Check out the full alphabet here.

Russian designer Ruslan Khasanov made this liquid font, au revoir, by pouring wet ink on wet paper to form each letter and then shot nearly 600 digital photos. After selecting the best images he made a few color corrections in Photoshop and the typeface was born. See the entire project here. (via ad week)

A wonderful clip to promote World Water Day by French firm BDDP Unlimited. Directed by Clement Beauvais, the film is meant to spread awareness of waterborne illness that kills an estimated 3.6 million people each year by using a delicate water and ink method that “reveals what is invisible.” So well done.

Artist Sagaki Keita was born in 1984 and lives and works in Tokyo. His densely composited pen and ink illustrations contain thousands of whimsical characters that are drawn almost completely improvised. I am dumbstruck looking at these and love the wacky juxtaposition of fine art and notebook doodles. See more of his work here, and be sure to click the images above for more detail. Thanks Sagaki for sharing your work with Colossal!
