Under the Lucan Sun
Almost an antithesis to yesterday’s clip about the Salton Sea, this short film by Leonardo Dalessandri walks us through a small area of southern Italy, exploring the residents, landscapes, and small moments of daily life that through the lens of this filmmaker are nothing short of magical. All the more spectacular to me is the inclusion of music by Isao Tomita. This particular track being something my dad used to rock me to sleep to, giving this whole thing a layer of bizarre nostalgia for a place I’ve never been. I think you’ll agree with me when I say: I want to go to there.
