The mysterious dwelling is the titular character of Netflix's new three-part series that brings some of the most promising names of stop-motion animation to the major television platform. A Five-Part Stop Motion Anthology Tests the Limits of Short Film

This Magnificent Cake! is a new stop motion animation by Belgium-based filmmaker pair Emma De Swaef and Marc James Roels (previously) which tests the physical limits of short film. The 44-minute, 5-chapter anthology is just over the cut for what can be considered a short film, yet is far more condensed then one that is a traditional longer format. A Woolen Ape Explores a Backyard Garden in a New Short from Marc & Emma

As part of a promotional campaign for Wonderlijk Wild (Miraculously Wild), an effort to encourage home gardening in Belgium, filmmaking duo Emma De Swaef and Marc James Roels of Marc & Emma were hired to create this wonderful short about a felted green ape exploring the outdoors. You might remember their work from this other woolen animation featuring two doughy wrestlers for the National Animation Festival last year.

Stop Motion Woolen Puppets Wrestle the Stuffing Out of Each Other

I love everything about these portly characters beating the stuffing out of each other in this animated short from Emma De Swaef and Marc James Roels.
