Realist oil painter Lee Price (maybe nsfw) primarily paints self-portraits of herself from an overhead vantage point, primarily in bathrooms while eating junk food. Colossal approved. (via yewknee)

A collection of recent illustrations by Alexey Kurbatov. A really great mix of styles here giving each image several layers of depth. Much more over on Behance.

The To Resolve Project is the brainchild of designer Chris Streger. Streger contacted a number of designers and asked for them to create iPhone wallpapers for their new years resolutions. Above is just a few of the great designs that have been submitted so far, head over to his blog to see more and download them for yourself. (via design work life)

Enjoying these geometric portraits by Rhett Dashwood out of Melbourne. His portfolio is chalk full of other really cool stuff including great videos like Mite and the particularly harrowing Tennagersintokyo. (via designspiration)

I remember seeing Chris Scarborough‘s wide-eyed Ideal Species series (scroll through this if you haven’t seen it before) a while back, so it was a surprise to see these incredible illustrations were by the same artist. If you’re in North Carolina his work is on display as part of the Art on Paper 2010 exhibit at the Weatherspoon Guild Gallery through February 6.

Fredrik Ödman: Composed Animals

December 28, 2010

Christopher Jobson

Holy swan-rabbits and fish-monkeys! Composed Animals is an incredible series of composite photographs by Fredrik Ödman. I wish we lived in a world where some of these animals exist (though airborne anteaters give me the heebie-jeebies), however at least we live in one where Fredrik does.
