Brooklyn-based artist Mark Wagner (previously) has been referred to as "the greatest living collage artist" and even "the Michael Jordan of glue". Trees Cut From Paper Shopping Bags by Yuken Teruya

For his recent solo show earlier this year at Pippy Houldsworth, Japanese artist Yuken Teruya (previously) transformed the waste products of consumerism—luxury gift bags—into cut paper trees that rise like fragile silhouettes from inside each bag. Via Pippy Houldsworth: Discussing how Teruya’s bags are made, Megan Ratner explains that he ‘begins with photographs of trees, which he transfers to his computer, superimposing this image on the logo-ed side of a shopping bag. Cut Paper Sculptures and Illustrations by Elsa Mora

Multimedia artist Elsa Mora was born and raised in Cuba before moving to the U.S. in 2001. Mora now lives and works in Los Angeles where she creates beautiful cut paper sculptures, illustrations and other visual curiosities with nothing but paper and glue. DIY Foldable Paper Animal Lights by MostLikely

The folks over at the Vienna-based mostlikelyShop have a great collection of DIY foldable paper lampshade kits. Each lampshade template arrives rolled in a tube and includes info on how to fold, glue and assemble the light, however you'll have to supply your own stand/bulb socket/glue. New Typewriter Part Birds by Jeremy Mayer

Artist Jeremy Mayer (previously) just completed this beautiful set of swallows using assembled typewriter parts. The pieces required Mayer to find multiple sets of identical parts adding a significant amount of time to sourcing materials, but as a happy accident the artist also discovered his design allowed for the wings to partially retract. If you're unfamiliar with Mayer's work it might surprise you to know that he doesn't use solder or glue (or even objects that haven't originated from a typewriter), but instead assembles everything using only native parts. Melting Ice Cream Truck by the Glue Society

As a kid, the summertime tragedy of dropping newly scooped ice cream on the sweltering hot ground is comparable to few other horrors, except maybe this sculpture by the Glue Society. The melting ice cream truck is a sculpture titled Hot With The Chance of Late Storm that was unveiled at the 2006 Sculpture by the Sea in Sydney. Quick, somebody get a giant spoon. (via ian brooks)
