Live Streaming Website Navigation

December 10, 2010

Christopher Jobson

The new web site for Sagemeister incorporates a live studio webcam stream that captures vinyl graphic buttons affixed to the floor which function as navigation for the website. This would be much more awesome if that guy would get up from his chair and go stand on whatever I click while the girl gets whatever I requested and holds it up to the camera. Just sayin. The Whimsical Work of Tom Foulsham

November 29, 2010

Christopher Jobson

Wow loving this clever and wacky stuff by UK artist Tom Foulsham. Of particular note is the super-insane Wiggle Table equipped with a mechanism that converts keyboard input into correlating vibrations in an adjacent table. A second person then uses a pencil to create a line across that table and as if by magic legible writing appears. (via co.design)

Interactive butterfly installation by Dominic Harris

November 28, 2010

Christopher Jobson

Flutter is a really impressive interactive artwork by Dominic Harris of Cinimod Studio. The installation consists of a linear array of 88 vertical double-sided video fins projecting from a mirrored surface. Butterflies are projected on the screens and then react to the motion of your hand or body as you pass by.
