A Satisfying Stop-Motion Tutorial by omozoc Effortlessly Slices and Assembles a Wooden Box Entirely by Hand

July 20, 2022

Grace Ebert

omozoc (previously) gives new meaning to handcrafted in one of his latest stop-motion tutorials. With a simple touch of his fingertip or nail zipping along the edge of a piece of wood, the animator appears to cut, bevel, and construct a tissue box without any outside tools or fasteners. Comprised of 791 individual photos, the seamless video took 22 days to complete and is part of omozoc’s growing archive of woodworking lessons, which you can find more of (make sure you turn your volume up to hear the incredibly satisfying audio) on YouTube.

In Clever Stop-Motion Tutorials by omozoc, Wooden Boards Slice Like Sticks of Butter

June 1, 2022

Kate Mothes

Stop-motion animator omozoc (previously) has a knack for making complex and labor-intensive processes look remarkably effortless. In a new series called Stop Motion Woodworking, planks of wood are sliced with kitchen knives, cookie cutters carve mortise holes like dough, and a bench scraper shapes tenons for the joints with the smoothness of a blade through a stick of butter. Satisfying chopping and slicing sounds accompany the construction of a small stool that is just the right size to hold a milk crate, which features in its own tutorial video.

Next-Level Cardistry is Showcased in a Clever New Stop Motion Animation by Omozoc

October 10, 2019

Laura Staugaitis

Stop motion animator omozoc (previously) evokes the astonishing cardistry of poker dealers in a new short film. Aptly titled “Legendary Poker Dealer,” the short starts off with classic suave moves to deal and sort cards. As the animation continues, omozoc’s tricks become more and more intricate, and eventually start to veer towards the unbelievable. Watch through til the end for a fun surprise, and be sure to have the sound on to enjoy the audio effects. See more from the anonymous animator on YouTube.

Stop Motion Cooking Tutorials by Omozoc Transform Sporting Goods and Electronics Into Unconventional Meals

May 30, 2019

Kate Sierzputowski

YouTube user omozoc uses common household appliances both inside and out of the kitchen to craft his delightfully creative stop motion “meals.” A baseball glove becomes the bun of a strangely enticing hot dog, while a cracked-open computer mouse makes an unusual batch of scrambled eggs on the top of an open copy machine. Each video is composed of thousands of images compiled by the user, who does not use Photoshop or CGI, and features an array of satisfying sound effects. Watch more of his invented cooking tutorials, like a sushi meal created from a business suit and an iPhone, in the videos below, or on his YouTube channel.
