Submissions & Suggestions
Colossal welcomes project-based submissions with supporting imagery or video in the realm of contemporary art, photography, sculpture, painting, installation, collage, paper, illustration, street art, architecture, embroidery, textiles, animation, and anything else involving a strong visual aspect. We generally do not cover items relating to fashion, book or app reviews, coloring books, music, literature, phone accessories, creative sports videos, call for entries, or upcoming events. Colossal is used in classrooms globally from grade school through the university level, and while we recognize the importance of all artistic subject matter, if your project involves sex, nudity, violence or particularly sensitive topics it may not be appropriate for our audience.
Colossal does not accept products or compensation for editorial coverage with the exception of weekly sponsored posts. If you are interested in sponsoring a post please contact Nectar Ads.
How to Submit to Colossal
If you wish to send tips regarding work that is not your own, please do. Just use the email address provided below.
We receive 250+ submissions weekly so please help us understand your project quickly. Send a brief email with a description of your work and attach a few relevant images sized at 1200px wide or larger. Zip files, DOCs, or anything requiring a download will not be reviewed. You may also include a few links directly to the project in question. If your project is buried in a portfolio or gallery we may not click through everything, so help us get started in the right spot.
You will receive a response if your submission is successfully received, so there is no need to submit again. Please do not submit weekly on a repetitive schedule. Every submission is carefully considered, though due to volume we are unable to respond personally. Submissions can be sent to [email protected]—please do not subscribe this email address to your press list. Please do not send follow-up emails.
Attention galleries and event organizers: we appreciate the submission of your next exhibition/event. As this is a visual publication, please attach relevant installation views or existing photos of the artist’s work. If no imagery exists please submit when you’re able to obtain photos. Thank you.
