Holiday Lights Warm the Dark Winter Nights of Jeremy Miranda’s Paintings

All images © Jeremy Miranda, shared with permission
Colorful lights strung on trees and lining gutters cast a welcoming, vibrant glow on dreary, winter evenings in Jeremy Miranda’s paintings. The Maine-based artist (previously) is known for his dreamlike works of landscapes and interiors that incorporate both the domestic and outside world, and elements of nostalgia, intimacy, and memory echo throughout the scenes. Often illuminating the magical in the mundane, Miranda has been creating a growing collection of holiday paintings during the last few years that center on Christmas trees and decorated homes, capturing the warmth of the season as it shines through stark, frigid nights.
The artist has a few prints available through Sebastian Foster, and you can follow his work on Instagram.

Artist Jeremy Miranda Explores Memory and Scenes of the Northeast in His Sublime Paintings
Artist Jeremy Miranda (previously) paints in a space between worlds: reality and memory, indoor and outdoor, past and present. Ideas and concepts bleed together within his acrylic paintings like the fuzzy edges of a dream, where powerful images exist amongst unexpected locations and backdrops. The New Hampshire-based artist is heavily influenced by his surroundings in the American Northeast, apparent in his depiction of dense woods, crashing waves, and the recurring motif of lush greenhouses—a more literal depiction of his mixing of environments.
Miranda has an upcoming exhibition next month with Michelle Morin at Nahcotta Gallery, and he has a number of works or prints available through Etsy, Nahcotta, and his online shop.

Artist Jeremy Miranda Examines Memory with Oil Landscapes that Bleed into Interiors
Artist Jeremy Miranda is fascinated with how the mind creates memories and the juxtaposition of experiences both real and perceived. His oil paintings overlap interior and exterior environments to create unexpected relationships between disparate subjects, usually natural versus man-made. The interior of an artist’s studio dissolves into a bucolic river landscape, a bookshelf leads into the ocean, or a glowing furnace is concealed below a quiet pond.
Miranda most recently had an exhibit at Nahcotta Gallery in New Hampshire where several of his original works are currently available. Some of his most popular images are also available as prints.

Dreamlike Split-Level Landscapes Painted by Jeremy Miranda
Artist Jeremy Miranda lives and works in Salem, Massachusetts where he works with acrylic paint to create images influenced by nature, technology, and memory. Among my favorite of his works are his split-level landscapes connected by ladders that depict hidden worlds just under the surface of the ocean. Miranda has original paintings and prints available through Etsy, Enormous Tiny Art, and Sebastian Foster.
